Anthony Ndiema has been appointed as the Head of Radio at Standard Media Group, stepping into the role after Tom Japanni’s departure. Ndiema, who previously led Radio Maisha, will now oversee all radio stations under the company, including Spice FM, Vybez Radio, Radio Maisha, and Beru FM. His experience managing Hope FM and his educational background from Daystar University make him a fitting choice for this new responsibility.
In addition to his role in radio, Anthony Ndiema is also a familiar face on television, where he hosts and produces the gospel program Sunday Best on KTN and BTV every Sunday morning. Furthermore, he hosts Safari, an inspirational program on Radio Maisha every weekday morning. Ndiema’s diverse experience in both radio and television broadcasting positions him well to lead the radio division at Standard Media Group effectively.
Following Tom Japanni’s departure, several other personalities have also left Standard Media Group, with some joining the emerging competitor Radio 47. The media house has faced challenges, including online attacks aimed at damaging their reputation. Despite these obstacles, Anthony Ndiema’s appointment brings a fresh perspective and leadership to the radio division, setting the stage for continued growth and success in the future.
