Two Form Four Students Have Drown in a Dam in Nakuru

Tragedy struck in Nakuru county as two Form Four students lost their lives in a heartbreaking incident at Teret Dam. The bodies of the 18-year-old and 17-year-old students were discovered long after they had drowned while swimming in the dam. The students, who were from Teret High School, had gone to the dam for a leisurely swim, but unfortunately, met a tragic end.

The news of the students’ drowning spread quickly after a group of women fetching water from the dam noticed the bodies floating in the water. Local divers were called in to retrieve the bodies, and the police were informed of the grim discovery. The bodies were then taken to Egerton University mortuary for preservation and further examination. The entire community was left in shock and mourning over the untimely loss of the two young lives.

In a separate incident, tragedy struck again when a police officer drowned during a swimming expedition at a resort pool in Siaya county. Constable Austin Ouma Osama lost his life while swimming with his colleagues, leaving behind a devastated team of officers. The sudden loss of life serves as a stark reminder of the dangers that can accompany seemingly innocent activities, highlighting the fragility of life and the importance of safety precautions in all situations.
